Winter always seems to drag long, especially when that pesky groundhog sees his shadow. But every four years, we have something exciting to look forward and this year’s Olympics are no exception. Sports are often discussed here at Timothy Financial’s headquarters and the Olympics are especially fun because there’s always such wonderful stories along with the exciting competitions. This year, we were thrilled to cheer on a hometown athelete, Nancy Swider-Peltz Jr., as she raced in the Women’s 3000m speed skating event. Despite some unexpected delays on Sunday, Nancy had a strong race and placed 9th overall. But most impressive was her dedication and uplifting attitude. We are proud to call her a fellow “Wheatonite” and look forward to seeing her again in the 2014 Olympics.
